حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ وَعَبْدِ رَبِّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ جِمَاعٍ غَيْرَ احْتِلَامٍ ثُمَّ يَصُومُ وَقَالَتْ فِي حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ فِي رَمَضَانَ.
English Translation
Abd al-Rahman told us, from Malik, from Sumayy and Abd Rabbihi b. Sa'id, from Abu Bakr b. Abd al-Rahman, from Aishah and Umm Salamah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to rise in the morning in a state of major ritual impurity from sexual intercourse, not from a nocturnal emission, then he would fast — and she said, in the narration of Abd Rabbihi, "in Ramadan."
