English Translation
Abd al-A'la told us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Ubaydullah b. Abdullah, from Abdullah b. Abbas and from Aishah, that they both said: When the illness came upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he began putting his cloak over his face, and when he felt distressed, we would lift it from him, and he was saying, "May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians, they took the graves of their prophets as places of worship" — Aishah says: warning against doing the like of what they did.
