حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا ثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ قَالَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ.
English Translation
Aswad bin Amir and Husayn bin Muhammad narrated to us, they said: Shareek narrated to us, from Asim bin Ubaydullah, from Ali bin al-Husayn, from Abu Rafi, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: Whenever he heard the muezzin, he would say the same as he said, until when he reached "Come to prayer, come to success," he would say, "There is no power and no strength except with Allah."
