حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ عَنْ زَاذَانَ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ بَرَكَةُ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِمَا قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ فَقَالَ بَرَكَةُ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ قَبْلَهُ وَالْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Qays ibn al-Rabi' told us: Abu Hashim told us, from Zadhan, from Salman, who said: "I read in the Torah: 'The blessing of food is ablution after it.'" He said: I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him what I had read in the Torah. He said: "The blessing of food is ablution before it and ablution after it."
