حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ إِنِّي لَأَرَى صَاحِبَكُمْ يُعَلِّمُكُمْ كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُونَ حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لَيُعَلِّمُكُمْ إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمْ الْغَائِطَ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ أَجَلْ وَلَوْ سَخِرْتَ إِنَّهُ لَيُعَلِّمُنَا كَيْفَ يَأْتِي أَحَدُنَا الْغَائِطَ وَإِنَّهُ يَنْهَانَا أَنْ يَسْتَقْبِلَ أَحَدُنَا الْقِبْلَةَ وَأَنْ يَسْتَدْبِرَهَا وَأَنْ يَسْتَنْجِيَ أَحَدُنَا بِيَمِينِهِ وَأَنْ يَتَمَسَّحَ أَحَدُنَا بِرَجِيعٍ وَلَا عَظْمٍ وَأَنْ يَسْتَنْجِيَ بِأَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ.
English Translation
Abu Sa'id told us: Za'idah told us: Mansur told us, from Ibrahim, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid: A man among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told us, he said: A man said: "I see that your companion teaches you how to do things, even that he teaches you how one of you should go to relieve himself." He said: I said: "Yes indeed, even if you mock it -- he teaches us how one of us should go to relieve himself, and he forbids us from facing the qiblah or turning our backs to it, from cleansing ourselves with our right hand, from wiping ourselves with dung or bone, and from cleansing ourselves with fewer than three stones."
