حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرِ ابْنِ عَاصِمٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيْسَ مِنْ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Bakr told us, they said: Ibn Jurayj told us, he said: Ibn Shihab told me that Safwan ibn Abdullah ibn Safwan related to him, from Umm al-Darda, from Ka'b ibn Asim al-Ash'ari, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not righteousness to fast while traveling."
