English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar told us, from al-Zuhri, from Ibn al-Musayyab, from his father, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his grandfather -- the grandfather of Sa'id -- "What is your name?" He said: "Hazn (hardship)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, you are Sahl (ease)." He said: "I will not change a name my father named me with." Ibn al-Musayyab said: "And roughness has not ceased to be among us since."
