حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَافَ سَبْعًا وَطَافَ سَعْيًا وَإِنَّمَا سَعَى أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُرِيَ النَّاسَ قُوَّتَهُ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) performed tawaf seven times and jogged (raml) during it. He only jogged because he wanted to show the people his strength.
