حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَمٍّ لِحُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ قُمْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَرَأَ السَّبْعَ الطِّوَالَ فِي سَبْعِ رَكَعَاتٍ وَكَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرُّكُوعِ قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ذِي الْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْجَبَرُوتِ وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ وَكَانَ رُكُوعُهُ مِثْلَ قِيَامِهِ وَسُجُودُهُ مِثْلَ رُكُوعِهِ فَانْصَرَفَ وَقَدْ كَادَتْ تَنْكَسِرُ رِجْلَايَ.
English Translation
Surayj b. al-Nu'man told us, Hammad told us, from 'Abd al-Malik b. 'Umayr - a cousin of Hudhayfah told me, from Hudhayfah, he said: "I stood with the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) one night, and he recited the seven long surahs in seven rak'ahs. When he raised his head from bowing, he would say: 'God hears the one who praises Him,' then say: 'Praise be to God, Owner of the dominion, the might, the pride, and the greatness.' His bowing was like his standing, and his prostration was like his bowing. Then he finished, and my legs had almost broken."
