حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَيَّةُ التَّمِيمِيُّ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا شَيْءَ فِي الْهَامِ وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ وَأَصْدَقُ الطِّيَرِ الْفَأْلُ.
English Translation
Abu Amir told us, Ali told us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir told us, Hayyah al-Tamimi told us, that his father informed him, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "There is nothing to the belief in al-Hamah, and the evil eye is real, and the truest of omens is the good omen."
