حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ أَبِي حَسَنٍ حَدَّثَتْنِي مَرْيَمُ ابْنَةُ إِيَاسِ بْنِ الْبُكَيْرِ صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ أَعِنْدَكِ ذَرِيرَةٌ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ فَدَعَا بِهَا فَوَضَعَهَا عَلَى بَثْرَةٍ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِ رِجْلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ مُطْفِئَ الْكَبِيرِ وَمُكَبِّرَ الصَّغِيرِ أَطْفِهَا عَنِّي فَطُفِئَتْ.
English Translation
Rawh told us: Ibn Jurayj told us: Amr ibn Yahya ibn Umara informed me: Maryam bint Iyas ibn al-Bukayr, a Companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told me, from one of the wives of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon her and said, "Do you have some scented powder (dharira)?" She said, "Yes," and he called for it and placed it on a sore between the toes of his feet, then said: O Allah, who extinguishes the great and magnifies the small, extinguish it for me - and it was extinguished.
