حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَدَّادُ حَدَّثَنَا ثَوَّابُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ لَا يَخْرُجُ حَتَّى يَطْعَمَ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ لَا يَطْعَمُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ.
English Translation
Abu Ubaydah al-Haddad told us: Thawwab ibn Utbah told us, from Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would not go out on the day of Fitr until he had eaten, and on the day of sacrifice (Nahr) he would not eat until he had returned.
