English Translation
Waki' narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Alqamah ibn Marthad, from Sulayman ibn Buraydah, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the Day of the Conquest — the conquest of Mecca — performed ablution and wiped over his two leather socks. 'Umar said to him, 'I saw you, O Messenger of Allah, do something today that you did not use to do.' He said, 'I did it intentionally, O 'Umar.'
