English Translation
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Malik, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sa'd, who said: The people used to be commanded to place their right hand over their left in prayer. Abu Hazim said: I do not know it except as something traced back to the Prophet. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: this means it is attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
