حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلٍ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ دُووِيَ جُرْحُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَجِيءُ بِالْمَاءِ فِي تُرْسِهِ وَفَاطِمَةُ تَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَأَخَذَ حَصِيرًا فَأَحْرَقَهُ فَحَشَا بِهِ جُرْحَهُ.
English Translation
Sufyan told us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl: with what was the wound of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, treated? He said: Ali would bring water in his shield, and Fatimah would wash the blood from his face, and she took a mat, burned it, and stuffed his wound with it.
