حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعِينَ وَكَانَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ.
English Translation
Revelation came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he was forty years old. He stayed in Makkah for thirteen years and in Madinah for ten, and he died at the age of sixty-three.
