حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَمِعَ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ يَقُولُ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قُومُوا نَسْتَغِيثُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ هَذَا الْمُنَافِقِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُقَامُ لِي إِنَّمَا يُقَامُ لِلَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى.
English Translation
Musa ibn Dawud told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from al-Harith ibn Yazid, from Ali ibn Rabah, that a man heard Ubadah ibn al-Samit say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us, and Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "Let us stand and seek help from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, against this hypocrite." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No one is to stand for me; standing is only for Allah, Blessed and Exalted."
