حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الْغَطَفَانِيِّ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْيَعْمُرِيِّ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبِعُقْرِ الْحَوْضِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَذُودُ عَنْهُ النَّاسَ لِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ أَضْرِبُهُمْ بِعَصَايَ حَتَّى يَرْفَضَّ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ فَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ عَرْضِهِ فَقَالَ مِنْ مُقَامِي هَذَا إِلَى عُمَانَ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ شَرَابِهِ فَقَالَ أَشَدُّ بَيَاضًا مِنْ اللَّبَنِ وَأَحْلَى مِنْ الْعَسَلِ يَصُبُّ فِيهِ مِيزَابَانِ يَمُدَّانِهِ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدُهُمَا ذَهَبٌ وَالْآخَرُ وَرِقٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.
English Translation
'Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd al-Ghatafani, from Ma'dan ibn Abi Talhah al-Ya'muri, from Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "I shall be at the side of the Hawd (Pool) on the Day of Resurrection, driving people away from it for the people of Yemen, striking them with my staff until it overflows for them." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about its width, and he said: "From where I stand to Oman." And he was asked about its drink, and he said: "Whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Two channels pour into it from Paradise, one of gold and the other of silver." 'Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, Hisham ibn 'Abdullah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Salim, from Ma'dan, from Thawban, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a similar narration.
