English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Thawr, from Rashid ibn Sa'd, from Thawban, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent out a military expedition, and they were struck by cold. When they came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), they complained to him about the cold that had afflicted them. So he commanded them to wipe over their turbans and footwear.
