حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ مَا عِنْدِي مَا أُعْطِيكَ وَلَكِنْ ائْتِ فُلَانًا فَأَتَى الرَّجُلَ فَأَعْطَاهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ أَوْ عَامِلِهِ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'ba narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Abu Amr al-Shaybani, from Abu Mas'ud, who said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him for something. He said, "I have nothing to give you, but go to so-and-so." So the man went to him, and he gave him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever directs to good has a reward like that of the one who does it, or performs it."
