حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ح وَرَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ يَخَامِرَ أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ حَدَّثَهُ وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ جَاهَدَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ قَاتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مِنْ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ فُوَاقَ نَاقَةٍ فَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَمَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الْقَتْلَ مِنْ عِنْدِ نَفْسِهِ صَادِقًا ثُمَّ مَاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ فَلَهُ أَجْرُ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَمَنْ جُرِحَ جُرْحًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ نُكِبَ نَكْبَةً فَإِنَّهَا تَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَغْزَرِ مَا كَانَتْ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ كَأَغَزِّ وَرَوْحٌ كَأَغْزَرِ وَحَجَّاجٌ كَأَعَزِّ مَا كَانَتْ لَوْنُهَا كَالزَّعْفَرَانِ وَرِيحُهَا كَالْمِسْكِ وَمَنْ جُرِحَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ طَابَعُ الشُّهَدَاءِ.
English Translation
Abdullah told us, my father told me, Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Ibn Jurayj informed us - and by another route - Rawh told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, he said: Sulayman ibn Musa said, Malik ibn Yakhamir told us, that Mu'adh ibn Jabal narrated to him - and Rawh said: narrated to them - that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever strives in the cause of Allah" - and Rawh said "fights in the cause of Allah" - "as a Muslim man for the time it takes to milk a she-camel, Paradise becomes obligatory for him. And whoever sincerely asks Allah of his own accord for death, then dies or is killed, he has the reward of the martyrs. And whoever is wounded with a wound in the cause of Allah, or suffers an affliction, it will come on the Day of Resurrection more abundant than it ever was" - Abd al-Razzaq said "more copious," Rawh said "more abundant," and Hajjaj said "more plentiful than it ever was" - "its color like saffron and its scent like musk. And whoever is wounded in the cause of Allah bears upon him the seal of the martyrs."
