English Translation

Abdullah told us, my father told me, Abu Sa'id, the freedman of Banu Hashim, told us, Thabit ibn Yazid told us, Asim told us, from Abu Munib al-Ahdab, who said: Mu'adh delivered a sermon in Syria and mentioned the plague, and said: "It is a mercy from your Lord, the supplication of your Prophet, and the taking away of the righteous who came before you. O Allah, grant the family of Mu'adh their share of this mercy." Then he came down from that place of his and went in to Abd al-Rahman ibn Mu'adh. Abd al-Rahman said, "The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters." Mu'adh said, "You will find me, if Allah wills, among the patient."
