و قَالَ مُعَاذٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ أَعْمَالِكُمْ وَأَزْكَاهَا عِنْدَ مَلِيكِكُمْ وَأَرْفَعِهَا فِي دَرَجَاتِكُمْ وَخَيْرٍ لَكُمْ مِنْ تَعَاطِي الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَمِنْ أَنْ تَلْقَوْا عَدُوَّكُمْ غَدًا فَتَضْرِبُوا أَعْنَاقَهُمْ وَيَضْرِبُوا أَعْنَاقَكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
English Translation
And Mu'adh said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Shall I not inform you of the best of your deeds, the purest of them before your Sovereign, the highest of them in your ranks, and better for you than dealing in gold and silver, and better than meeting your enemy tomorrow so that you strike their necks and they strike your necks?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "The remembrance of Allah, Mighty and Majestic."
