حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ النَّهَّاسِ بْنِ قَهْمٍ حَدَّثَنِي شَدَّادٌ أَبُو عَمَّارٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِتٌّ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ مَوْتِي وَفَتْحُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ وَمَوْتٌ يَأْخُذُ فِي النَّاسِ كَقُعَاصِ الْغَنَمِ وَفِتْنَةٌ يَدْخُلُ حَرْبُهَا بَيْتَ كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ وَأَنْ يُعْطَى الرَّجُلُ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ فَيَتَسَخَّطَهَا وَأَنْ تَغْدِرَ الرُّومُ فَيَسِيرُونَ فِي ثَمَانِينَ بَنْدًا تَحْتَ كُلِّ بَنْدٍ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا.
English Translation
Waki' told us, from al-Nahhas ibn Qahm, Shaddad Abu Ammar told me, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Six are among the signs of the Hour: my death, the conquest of Jerusalem, a death that will spread among people like the plague among sheep, a discord whose harm enters the house of every Muslim, a man being given a thousand dinars and being displeased with it, and the Byzantines' treachery — they will march in eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand men.
