English Translation
Abu al-Nadr told us, 'Abd al-Rahman — that is, Ibn 'Abdullah b. Dinar — told us, from Zayd b. Aslam, from 'Ata' b. Yasar, from Abu Waqid al-Laythi, who said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, arrived in Medina, the people used to cut off the humps of camels and the fat tails of sheep, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whatever is cut off from a beast while it is alive is carrion."
