حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ بْنِ صُخَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ بِذِي قَرَدٍ أَرْضٌ مِنْ أَرْضِ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ فَصَفَّ النَّاسُ خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ صَفًّا يُوَازِي الْعَدُوَّ وَصَفًّا خَلْفَهُ فَصَلَّى بِالصَّفِّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ نَكَصَ هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلَاءِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً أُخْرَى حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ الْفَزَارِيِّ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ.
English Translation
Waki' told us: Sufyan told us, from Abu Bakr ibn Abi al-Jahm ibn Sukhayr, from Ubaydullah ibn Utba, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed the prayer of fear at Dhu Qarad, a land belonging to Banu Sulaym; the people lined up behind him in two rows, one row facing the enemy and one row behind him, and he prayed with the row nearer to him one rak'ah, then these fell back to the position of those, and those advanced to the position of these, and he prayed with them another rak'ah. Waki' told us: Sufyan told us, from al-Rukayn al-Fazari, from al-Qasim ibn Hassan, from Zayd ibn Thabit, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed the prayer of fear, and he mentioned the like of the hadith of Ibn Abbas.
