English Translation
Isma'il told us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu al-Ala' ibn al-Shikhkhir, from al-Ahnaf ibn Qays, who said: I came to Medina, and while I was in a circle in which there was a group of Quraysh, a man came and mentioned the hadith. I followed him until he sat by a pillar, and I said: I see that they disliked what you said to them. He said: My close friend Abu al-Qasim, peace and blessings be upon him, called me and said: "O Abu Dharr," and I answered him. He said: "Do you see Uhud?" I looked at how much sun was on it, thinking he was going to send me on an errand, and I said: I see it. He said: "It would not please me to have the like of it in gold, spending all of it, except for three dinars."
