حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَوْ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِمَقُولِ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَأَ بِثُلُثِ الْقُرْآنِ.
English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us, from Husayn, from Hilal ibn Yisaf, from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b -- or from a man of the Ansar -- who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever recites what is said in 'Say: He is Allah, the One,' it is as if he has recited a third of the Qur'an."
