قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَكُنْتُ مَعَ الْأَنْصَارِ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ كُنْتُ إِمَامَ النَّبِيِّينَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.
English Translation
He said: And I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "Were it not for the Migration, I would have been a man of the Ansar; and if the people were to travel along a valley or a mountain pass, I would be with the Ansar." Zakariyya told us, Ubaydullah ibn Amr told us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from al-Tufayl ibn Ubayy ibn Ka'b, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When it is the Day of Resurrection, I will be the leader of the prophets," and he mentioned the like of its meaning.
