قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ الْمَلِيِّ عَنْ الْمَلِيِّ يَعْنِي بِقَوْلِهِ الْمَلِيِّ عَنْ الْمَلِيِّ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الَّذِي يَأْتِي أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنْزِلُ يَغْسِلُ ذَكَرَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ أَبِي الْمَلِيُّ عَنْ الْمَلِيِّ ثِقَةٌ عَنْ ثِقَةٍ.
English Translation
He said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, who said: My father told me, from al-Mali, from al-Mali -- meaning by his saying "al-Mali from al-Mali" Abu Ayyub -- from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding the one who has intercourse with his wife but does not ejaculate: "He washes his private part and performs ablution." 'Abdullah said: My father said: "al-Mali from al-Mali" means a trustworthy man from a trustworthy man.
