حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ وَخَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ قَائِمًا يُقَاتِلُ عَلَيْهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ لَيْسَ مِنْ وَلَدِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ إِنَّمَا كَانَ اسْمُ جَدِّهِ الزُّبَيْرَ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah al-Zubayri and Khalaf ibn al-Walid told us, they said: Isra'il told us, from Simak ibn Harb, that he heard Jabir ibn Samurah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "This matter will continue to stand, with the Muslims fighting for it, until the Hour comes." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: This Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri is not from the descendants of al-Zubayr ibn al-'Awwam; rather, his grandfather's name was al-Zubayr.
