حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْبَزَّارُ الْمُقْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ لَنْ يَزَالَ هَذَا الدِّينُ عَزِيزًا مَنِيعًا ظَاهِرًا عَلَى مَنْ نَاوَأَهُ لَا يَضُرُّهُ مَنْ فَارَقَهُ أَوْ خَالَفَهُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ.
English Translation
Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Khalaf ibn Hisham al-Bazzar al-Muqri' narrated to me: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us from Mujalid, from al-Sha'bi, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, delivered a sermon to us at Arafah and said: "This religion will continue to be mighty, protected, and dominant over whoever opposes it; whoever forsakes it or opposes it will not harm it, until twelve rule, all of them from Quraysh" - or words to that effect.
