حَدَّثَنَا غَسَّانُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ كُنْتُ فِيمَنْ بَايَعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ فِيمَا أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا أَنْ لَا نَنُوحَ وَلَا نُحَدِّثَ مِنْ الرِّجَالِ إِلَّا مَحْرَمًا.
English Translation
Umm 'Atiyyah said: I was among those who pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace be upon him). Among the conditions he imposed on us was that we should not wail and that we should not speak to men except those who are our mahrams (close relatives).
