حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ مُغِيرَةُ أَخْبَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بْنِ التَّوْأَمِ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْحِلْفِ فَقَالَ مَا كَانَ مِنْ حِلْفٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَتَمَسَّكُوا بِهِ وَلَا حِلْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ سَبَلَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بْنِ التَّوْأَمِ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.
English Translation
Hushaym told us: al-Mughira said, informed from his father, from Shu'ba ibn al-Taw'am, from Qays ibn 'Asim: that he asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about alliance, and he said: "Whatever alliance there was in the pre-Islamic era, hold fast to it, but there is no alliance in Islam." Ibrahim ibn Ziyad Sabalan told us, 'Abbad ibn 'Abbad told us, from Shu'ba, from al-Mughira, from his father, from Shu'ba ibn al-Taw'am, from Qays ibn 'Asim, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similarly.
