حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْخَفَّافُ قَالَ سُئِلَ سَعِيدٌ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ فَأَخْبَرَنَا عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا يَعْنِي أَدْرَكْتَ الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتَ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ فَلَا تُصَلِّ وَإِذَا أَدْرَكَتْكَ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ فَصَلِّ إِنْ شِئْتَ.
English Translation
Abd al-Wahhab al-Khaffaf told us, he said: Sa'id was asked about praying in the resting places of camels, so he told us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Hasan al-Basri, from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If the time for prayer comes upon you while you are in the resting places of camels, do not pray; and if it comes upon you in the resting places of sheep, pray if you wish."
