English Translation
Yazid told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked: "Who among people is most excellent?" - or he said "best," Yazid was uncertain - he said: "He whose life is long and whose deeds are good." It was said: "And who among people is worst?" He said: "He whose life is long and whose deeds are evil."
