English Translation
Isma'il b. Ibrahim narrated to us: Ziyad b. Mikhraq narrated to us: Mu'awiya b. Qurra narrated to us, from his father, that a man said: O Messenger of God, I slaughter the sheep and yet I have mercy on it — or he said: I have such mercy on the sheep that I dislike slaughtering it. He said: "As for the sheep — if you show it mercy, God will show you mercy."
