حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا اقْتَبَسَ رَجُلٌ عِلْمًا مِنْ النُّجُومِ إِلَّا اقْتَبَسَ بِهَا شُعْبَةً مِنْ السِّحْرِ مَا زَادَ زَادَ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "No man acquires knowledge from astrology except that he acquires thereby a branch of sorcery. The more he increases (in astrology), the more he increases (in sorcery)."
