حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْكَاتِبُ قَالَ قَالَ لِي ابْنُ سِيرِينَ صَنَعْتُ سَيْفِي عَلَى سَيْفِ سَمُرَةَ وَقَالَ سَمُرَةُ صَنَعْتُ سَيْفِي عَلَى سَيْفِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ حَنَفِيًّا.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bakr told us, Uthman ibn Sa'd al-Katib informed us, who said: Ibn Sirin said to me: I made my sword like the sword of Samurah, and Samurah said: I made my sword like the sword of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and it was of the Hanafi style.
