حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِذَا لَمْ تُدْرِكْ الصَّلَاةَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ كَمْ تُصَلِّي بِالْبَطْحَاءِ قَالَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ تِلْكَ سُنَّةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
I said to Ibn 'Abbas: "If you miss the prayer in the mosque, how many rak'ahs do you pray at al-Batha'?" He said: "Two rak'ahs. That is the Sunnah of Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him)."
