حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنِي سَوَادَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَمُرَةَ بْنَ جُنْدُبٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ نِدَاءُ بِلَالٍ فَإِنَّ فِي بَصَرِهِ سُوءًا وَلَا بَيَاضٌ يُرَى بِأَعْلَى السَّحَرِ.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Sawada told me, who said: I heard Samura ibn Jundab say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not let Bilal's call deceive you, for there is a weakness in his eyesight, nor let the whiteness seen in the upper part of the pre-dawn sky deceive you, until true dawn breaks."
