حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنِي قَتَادَةُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا نَكَحَ الْمَرْأَةَ الْوَلِيَّانِ فَهِيَ لِلْأَوَّلِ مِنْهُمَا وَإِذَا بِيعَ الْبَيْعُ مِنْ الرَّجُلَيْنِ فَهِيَ لِلْأَوَّلِ مِنْهُمَا.
English Translation
Bahz and Abd al-Samad narrated to us, they said: Hammam narrated to us, from Qatada - Abd al-Samad said: Qatada told me - from al-Hasan, from Samura, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a woman is given in marriage by two guardians, she belongs to the first of them; and when a sale is made to two men, it belongs to the first of them."
