حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَيَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَبَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُلُّ غُلَامٍ رَهِينَةٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ تُذْبَحُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ سَابِعِهِ وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَيُدَمَّى وَيُسَمَّى فِيهِ وَيُحْلَقُ قَالَ يَزِيدُ رَأْسُهُ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Sa'id and Yazid narrated to us - Yazid said: Sa'id informed us - and Bahz narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, from Qatada, from al-Hasan, from Samura ibn Jundab, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "Every boy is in pledge for his aqiqa sacrifice, which is to be slaughtered for him on his seventh day" - and Bahz said in his version: "and blood is applied to him, and he is named, and his head is shaved" - Yazid said: "his head."
