حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَيْلٌ لِلَّذِي يُحَدِّثُ فَيَكْذِبُ لِيُضْحِكَ بِهِ الْقَوْمَ وَيْلٌ لَهُ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Bahz ibn Hakim: my father told me, from my grandfather, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Woe to the one who narrates and then lies to make the people laugh with it; woe to him."
