حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا رُقْيَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حُمَةٍ.
English Translation
Uthman ibn Umar told us, Malik informed us, and Abu Nu'aym told us, Malik - i.e. Ibn Mighwal - told us, from Husayn, from ash-Sha'bi, from Imran ibn Husayn, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no valid ruqyah except against the evil eye or a venomous sting."
