حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَسَارٍ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اطَّلَعْتُ فِي النَّارِ فَإِذَا أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءُ وَاطَّلَعْتُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَإِذَا أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِهَا الْفُقَرَاءُ.
English Translation
Abdullah told us, my father told me, Sulayman ibn Dawud told us, ad-Dahhak - i.e. Ibn Yasar - told us, and Abu al-Ala' Yazid ibn Abdullah told us, from Mutarrif, from Imran, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I looked into the Fire and saw that most of its inhabitants were women, and I looked into Paradise and saw that most of its inhabitants were the poor."
