English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from al-Amash, from Khaythamah — or from a man — from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: He passed by a man who was reciting the Quran to a group of people, and when he finished, he asked them for money. Imran said: 'Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Whoever recites the Quran, let him ask Allah, Blessed and Exalted, by it, for there will come people who recite the Quran and ask people by it."'
