حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَن حَكِيمِ بْنِ دَيْلَمٍ عَن أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَن أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَتْ يَهُودُ يَأْتُونَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَتَعَاطَسُونَ عِنْدَهُ رَجَاءَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُمْ يَرْحَمُكُمْ اللَّهُ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ لَهُمْ يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ.
English Translation
Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh said: Sufyan ibn Sa'id told us, from Hakim ibn Daylam, from Abu Burdah, from his father, who said: The Jews used to come to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and sneeze in his presence, hoping he would say to them "may Allah have mercy on you." So he would say to them, "May Allah guide you and set your affairs right."
