حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَن الْأَعْمَشِ عَن شَقِيقٍ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ مِنْ وَرَائِكُمْ أَيَّامًا يَنْزِلُ فِيهَا الْجَهْلُ وَيُرْفَعُ فِيهَا الْعِلْمُ وَيَكْثُرُ فِيهَا الْهَرْجُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiya told us, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from Abu Musa, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, after you there will come days in which ignorance will descend and knowledge will be lifted, and in which there will be much harj." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is harj?" He said, "Killing."
