حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَن الْأَعْمَشِ عَن شَقِيقٍ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا أَحَبَّ قَوْمًا وَلَمَّا يَلْحَقْ بِهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ قَالَ أَبِي وَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَاهُ وَكِيعٌ عَن سُفْيَانَ عَن الْأَعْمَشِ عَن شَقِيقٍ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ أَيْضًا عَن أَبِي مُوسَى.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiya told us, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from Abu Musa, who said: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of a man who loves a people but has not yet joined them?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "A man is with whom he loves." He said: My father said, and Waki' also told us likewise, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from Abu Musa; and Muhammad b. Ubayd also, from Abu Musa.
